orale marchigiana.
Una quarantennale attivita', la pubblicazione di ben tredici LP e del volume Cultura
popolare Marchigiana sicuramente la piu' ampia ed organica raccolta di canti
e tradizioni popolari che vantino le Marche, fanno del Gruppo di Ricerca e
Canto Popolare La Macina l'unico
autorevole portavoce di quello che e' il ricchissimo patrimonio della
tradizione e della cultura orale marchigiana. Cos'e' il gruppo La
Macina? Un collettivo di indagine etnomusicologica che
tiene al proprio rigore sia nel senso della ricerca che in quello
dell'esecuzione. Chi assistera' ai loro concerti, capira' da se il discorso
de La Macina: per quel che dicono cantando, per
come lo cantano, per l'espressivita' estrema del Gruppo, che e' riuscito ad
attingere linfa dalle piu' profonde radici della nostra terra, facendo
proprie le modalita' e i riti della civilta' contadina, che sicuramente
divulgano con esemplare rispetto ed amore. La
Macina, tra l'altro, e' riuscita a far nascere nel
1988, il Centro Tradizioni Popolari
(con sede a Polverigi), operando non solo come struttura di conservazione, ma
soprattutto come agente di promozione e studio della musica e delle
tradizioni popolari.

Songs and folk

region.
The group of research and
folk-revival La Macina, born in
1968, has published thirteen LP and a book Cultura popolare Marchigiana which
is the most important collection of popular songs and traditions of the oral
culture of the region Marche.
The research in the field is led in the region Marche
(middle Italy),
principally in the linguistic zone of the province of Ancona,
and is addressed to recover the traditions and the old songs that were the
leit-motiv of the rites of a civilization nearly to the extintion: that
paesant. Therefore, songs that scanned rhythmes and motivations very
different from the present circumstances. There is in them the taste of the
one's everyday work, the feeling of inferior condition, the authenticity of
the joyous moments and the decorous suffering of the most bitter moments. As
far as the performance is concerned the Group of the popular song La
Macina is conform, in the use of the instruments, to
the expressive modalities of their origins, being able to draw lymph from the
most deep roots of our land making own the modalities and the rites of the
traditional oral culture of the country-folk that popularizes with exemplar
respect and love.
